The new Vinpearl Nam Hoi An Golf Resort is the latest addition to Vingroup’s collection of world class resorts. Located 10 km south of Hoi An, this 18 hole Par 72 golf course designed by IMG is part of a 200 hectare resort development that includes a 5 star beachside hotel, tropical villas, water park, theme park and agricultural centre.

The golf course is set amongst some very interesting, rolling sand dunes with elevation changes from 4 metres to 11 metres. The design intent was to minimize the disturbance to the site as much as possible so that when completed, the golf course would look like it had been there for many years. There are many natural trees on site, with Casaurina pine trees closer to the ocean and deciduous trees further inland to provide a nice contrast across the golf course. Native grasses, Pandanus’ and other dunes type vegetation have been re-introduced to the golf course.

There is a wide variety of golf holes, with a pleasant mix of long and short Par 3’s, Par 4’s and Par 5’s, including two driveable Par 4 holes, one on each Nine. Considering the sandy nature of the site, there is plenty of water, located where existing low areas were already present and well vegetated. The fairways have plenty of width so golfers of all skill levels will enjoy their round of golf, and the large, gently rolling greens will be interesting but not overly challenging for putting. A world class driving range with a large grass tee and well appointed clubhouse are also available.
