Nikanti Golf Club is a very unusual new Bangkok golf course which is unique in several ways:it’s the first golf club in Thailand to be fully inclusive and once you pay your green fee there is no extra to pay and it even includes food and your caddie tip!The course construction is also unique and consists of three six-hole layouts rather than the usual two nines.
It’s a very attractive course and the designer has used the natural terrain as much as possible when designing the course. The course is not particularly long, even from the back tees, but there are more than enough challenges to keep the best of golfers happy and even the higher handicappers will enjoy a great day out if they use one of the easier tees.
Having said that this is not a course which is that easy to score well and although many of the fairways are quite wide they have plenty of bumps and hollow which means you are often playing from an uneven lie.The greens, with bunkers protecting them, have been heavily contoured which makes putting on the medium paced greens a real challenge and this is the key to scoring well on this course.
Lots of water around the greens which will intimidate the higher handicappers and the prevailing winds which often blow in this area make club selection a challenge.
The caddies are some of the best in Thailand and you will need them to negotiate your way around some of the holes and the course never gets to crowded as the tee times are spaced 15 minutes apart.
A very modern and well-designed clubhouse offers top-class facilities with plans to bring the food and beverage up to the standards of a top restaurant.
